Larne Youth v Larne Youth Academy.
Under 10's: Score 11-0.
George Best Castlereagh League.

MATURITY and strength of Larne Youth showed in the first local derby of the season against a younger Larne Youth Academy in the George Best Castlereagh League.
Larne Youth were on the attack from kick off with the first goal coming in the second minute from Matthew Logan.
It took another eight minutes of constant pressure before Jordan bell put the ball over the line for Larne Youths second goal. Three minutes later the third goal was stuck home by Reece Steele.
Halfway through the first half, with the Academy not able to make any headway the ball hit the back of the net with a fine strike from Lee McKee.
Youth's goalkeeper Stefan Magee had not touched the ball until the seventeenth minute when under some pressure from the Academy lad's first serious attack, Larne Youth was forced into a back pass.
However, this pressure from Larne Youth Academy was short lived when in what was to be a goal rout; Callum Wharry struck home in the twenty-fourth minute for the fifth.
A minute later Jordan bell got his second followed by Callum three minutes later for his second. Then on the stroke of half time Matthew Logan made it his second and the eighth for the Larne Youth team.
Shortly after the start of the second half Larne Youth struck home with their ninth goal from Lee McKee making it his second of the match. But this half was not proving to be as easy as the young Academy lads started to fight back against their more senior stable mates.
Although no goals were forthcoming for the Academy, they were able to frustrate the youth team until twenty three minutes into the second half when the tenth goal was won following three successive corners.
Twenty five minutes into the half and goal keeper Stefan was forced into his first and only save of the match. The last few minutes of action saw a goal for Larne Youth disallowed for off-side but the eleventh goal did arrive from Chris as the full time whistle was blown.
This was a comprehensive display by Larne Youth demonstrating good teamwork throughout the match, although the goal tally could have been greater if not for the goalkeeping skills of Larne Youth Academy's Dean Bell.
Man of the match for Larne Youth was captain, Adam Riley whose ball skills set-up many of the goals.
