BALLYMENA and Provincial Football League season 2009-10 sponsored by Michelin Athletic Club.
Only Four games survived the Arctic conditions on Saturday with a game being played in each of the Four Divisions. Hopefully there will be better weather this Saturday and all the teams get back into action.
Note.
The Monthly Meeting of the league will be held on Monday 8th February in the usual venue commencing at 7.30pm sharp with All clubs expected to be in attendance.
The Annual Table Quiz will follow on after the Business for the Meeting has been completed.

RESULTS INTERMEDIATE DIVISION
BRANTWOOD 6-1 COOKSTOWN OLYMPIC
Brantwood were on the attack from the kick-off and raced into a two goals lead through goals scored by Matthew Armstrong on the 14th and 16th minutes.
After this the Olympic had to chase the game by committing men forward then on the 40th minute Fintan McCartney took advantage of this when he nipped through to score number three for the home side.
Brantwood increased their lead after Matthew Armstrong completed his hat-trick on the 54th minute but then saw Dean Stewart pull a goal back for the Olympic on the 57th minute. The Olympic then threw caution to the side in an effort to get a second goal but two more goals for Brantwood scored by Jonny Armstrong on the 66th and 78th minutes saw Brantwood safe with the points.
Referee Mr William Williamson
JUNIOR DIVISION ONE LEAGUE
GLEBE RANGERS RES 2-2 KILLYMOON RANGERS RES
This was a good competitive game from start to finish with Killymoon having the edge in the first-half and Glebe edging it in the second. Killymoon took the lead through a well taken goal scored by Leon Abraham on the 24th minute and then doubled their advantage after Stuart Donaghy scored on the 50th minute.
Glebe than got their attacking play going and got back in the game after Gareth Henry converted a penalty on the 61st minute.
With this goal Glebe continued on attack and got back on level terms on the 65th minute thanks to a superb goal scored by Neil McVicker from 25 yards.
After this Glebe went for the winning goal but Killymoon defending well were not going to be denied a point and at the end the draw was probably the correct result.
Referee Mr Wm McConaghie
JUNIOR DIVISION TWO LEAGUE
FC BALLYNURE RES 3-0 DEMESNE STROLLERS
The efforts of the Ballynure Club in clearing the snow off the pitch and paid dividends by allowing the game to go ahead.
Ballynure received an early set-back when they had a played sent off on the 4th minute of the game but after this they then took the lead when Mark Tweedie scored on the 14th minute.
Demesne tried hard to get back into the game but though a man down Ballynure kept pushing forward and after Phil Hall scored a brace of goals on the 56th and 74th minutes the points were safe.
Referee Mr Brendan Crawford
JUNIOR DIVISION THREE LEAGUE
GRANGE RANGERS II 3 -6 WOODLANDS

Woodlands hit back with Robert Carson scoring a couple of goals on the 24th and 35th minute putting Woodlands in front at half-time.
Grange got back on level terms after William Todd converted a penalty on the 55th minute but then saw Woodlands go back in front after Jay Pollock scored from the penalty spot on the 65th minute.
Woodlands then increased their lead after Chris Colgan scored on the 70th minute but a goal scored by Danny McFall on the 74th minute gave Grange hope of saving the game.
With the game going into the final five minutes David Ellison scored number five for Woodlands on the 85th minute followed by Robert Carson completing his hat-trick on the 89th minute.
